Looking forward to better days

Well its been a long time since I last posted. So much has been going on. My husband has been fighting infection and dealing with the RSD, my mother had a stroke and I ended up flying to be with her for a while, my psoriasis is flaring... The last couple of months have been hectic to say the least. I find myself wanting to yell out "Calgon take me away!" lol for those of you who are too young, Calgon was a bath soak back in the day, may still be on the market although I haven't looked for it and I haven't seen any commercials for it either.

So today is my step daughters birthday. She was born on Friday the 13th which used to be an inside joke that is was the reason she was so evil lol But in the past few years she has grown into such a beautiful woman with a family, including a step son of her own. It is so wonderful to spend time with her now as an adult. When she was young, it was rough. She put me to the test bit time and did her best to make my life as hard as possible. But as she got older God did his handy work and she became an incredible woman. I find myself talking to her on the phone and giggling with her about our men and just having a genuinely good time talking with her. I am amazed with her. She is caring, considerate, loving and kind to people and animals. So her and her husband are coming up to visit us because in her words, "All I want for my birthday is to spend it with you guys". So I have her cake ordered, we are going out to dinner with them and we will spend the day together talking, maybe playing games together, possibly watch a movie. Its these quality times that I charish so much. Never being able to have children of my own, she stepped up and became mine anyway. I cant say enough about her and how wonderful she is.
